- Said "hello" to my daughter and then "goodbye" 5 hours later.
- Both children depart for school the same day.
- Experienced a bad case of the empty nest blues on Monday.
- Son resumes school-year selective texting-answers-to-mom technique.
- Survived the Earthquake of August 23!
- Ridiculed by Virginia-based daughter for all the "earthquake drama."
- Empty nest blues miraculously lift.
- Attention turns to Hurricane Irene and this "cone of uncertainty" business.
- Have begun to lay in supplies: Pre washed salad, avocado, wine, cottage cheese, vodka, broccoli, olives, tweezers.
- Thinking about maybe getting some batteries and water, but is afraid of being accused of exhibiting signs of "hurricane drama" and setting self up for more ridicule.
- How're things by you?

Love all the natural disaster drama going on, haha! I also love your shopping list.
I am sure we will survive this impending storm .. likely because we're primed it will pass without any one noticing except all those crack meteorologists
If you bring bread & milk you can come stay with us ...
never waste a good opportunity for climate drama, including updates 24/7. Did you lay in enough wine? We'll come and watch with you.
Vodka! Glad you have your priorities right! :D What about chocolate?
Hurricane Parties .... they're the best! I survived Hurricane Andrew (1992) in Key West ... now that was a storm!!!
I've got Spam, but darn forgot the wine!!
Be safe, mama.
Going out tomorrow for some more supplies. Will remember the wine. Take care ~
we get nuttin' no drama here... well there was Mt.St.Helens but that has been an eon ago. Good on the beverage selection..

Kids, you'll out grow them in a few years.
You'll definitely need more alcohol.
Wine, vodka and olives? I'm on my way. Hold the tweezers.
I laughed out loud on this one, but also wanted to give you a big hug at the same time!!
What a damn week.
Ya'll ALL stay safe okay? ♥
I lived in hurricane country for 2 1/2 years. Ain't no such thing as hurricane drama! ALWAYS be prepared. Each one can be devastating! Stay safe.
