Bittersweet Mama:
This baby is coming home Saturday morning!
We meet her ship in Boston.
This baby, in the Spongebob shirt, is going to go with me.
Well, technically, he is driving.
This business of having a child/chauffeur is a good thing.
That makes me happy. Call me Miss Daisy.
And Sunday?
They leave for their respective schools to begin their third(!) year.
sigh
How did that happen?

I am she can fill the ride home with wonderful stories/experiences she's had .. and I cant believe its their 3rd year either ... it seems just ysterday you were struggling with empty nest syndrome! Enjoy being driven in style and enjoy your babies being home all together before they fly off again on their own.
Hooray for babies coming home! Hooray for babies to cart you around! Hooray for SpongeBob!:)
Im going on new blogs today and thought id just say hello. Richard from the Amish settlement of Lebanon,Pa.
I know this is so wrong but after spending an hour and a half yesterday working on the blasted multiplication tables, The Child being happy and capable at college doesn't sound half bad!
Isn't that the way of the young, breezin' in and then out again! Everything moving fast.
But you'll have them trapped in the car for some good ole one on one time! Now if you can just tie down their thumbs!
What fun to have your girl back again. Time for the photos and memories to start pouring forth!
don't forget to whine; are we there yet? proud of ya I am.
What an amazing adventure I'm sure she's had! And I'm so glad you get to have both your babies home - at least for a tiny bit - before they fly off again! :)
P.S. I loved hearing that news story about Joplin and the clothing...that was so heartwarming! Joplin is still close to my heart; our church is doing a coat/glove drive for the kids now for the upcoming winter.
You pretty much said what i could not effectively communicate. +1

Dear Miss Daisy,
You have beautiful children.
Cherish the time, alone in a car to talk and share in an uninterrupted way. That and running together are my favorite mother- daughter time.
Time goes by WAY too quickly...
I'm gonna be 80, like, tomorrow...
Well, Miss Daisy...enjoy your reunion!
Wait.
THIRD year??
Such a happy reunion this will be! Both of your children are so very cute, Miss Daisy!
Enjoy those moments. Love ya!!
I'm sure she'll have a boatload of great stories to tell. Too bad she's not home for a bit longer but what a great experience she's had.
Enjoy your short visit. I don't know how this happens....it just goes so darn fast!!
Oh yeah, that is what my boys always said when they drove me anywhere. That is one of my favorite shows.
