This-n-That Thursday

Long ago things I miss this Mother's Day Eve Eve Eve:
  • I miss the smell of those precious bald heads.
  • I miss long walks with the loaded double stroller and the happy bichon on his leash.
  • I miss the pediatrician call-in hour where he reassured me my children were going to be okay despite whatever it was I discovered the evening before.
  • I miss talking to the diaper service lady...she was so ahead of her time.
  • I miss diapers. Really.
  • I miss Dreft detergent.
  • I miss baby shampoo.
  • I miss the smell of Desitin ointment. I really do.
  • I miss the feeding/pooping/medicine schedule we had to keep for preemies.
  • I miss the musical mobiles.
  • I miss the Meryl Streep lullabye song.
  • I miss Barney and Baby Bop.
I miss my college students. Hurry home!

I miss the ear infections whenever he cut a tooth, oh wait, he's still getting those because he's putting off getting his wisdom teeth removed!

This year, I miss him not having a step-mom. Nope, don't like it one bit.

Seriously, I wish I could turn back time as well ♥

I miss sitting at all the early Saturday morning games. And helping at school. And his little red head peaking out of the covers.

I miss that little hand reaching up for mine as we prepared to venture out...

I can't improve much on your sweet list much at all. Except, I miss my daughter--who passed away in'98 at 31 from an enlarged heart, and I'll miss my mother, who passed away in March. I'll miss both of them forever.

I still have my son and although he's 4 hours away with 2 of my 3 grandchildren, I thank God I have them and I love to look back and enjoy the memories I have of all of them. Such precious, awesome memories.

Every time I see the girls, I ask them to just stop getting bigger. For some reason, they never do. :(

You could wash your things in Dreft, and use baby shampoo on your hair...

I miss the chubby cheeks and carrying around on my hip and the falling asleep in the high chair.

Big, big long sigh. Those sweet little-boy sighs. Every now and then I go through baby clothes, vowing to get rid of them. But I remember each little onesie and romper and they're so darn cute I just can't.

I miss the giggling; under the covers at night, in stores when you can't point at anyone, keeping secrets.

COME TO MY HOUSE... there are two diapers full at most moments...desitin and baby shampoo in all rooms along with lavender lotion... tons of burp rags and clothes to wash... smiles giggles and drool... and strange sticky things in really weird places ... as for MY vacuum... he works on it often and parts are missing hence the reason he got his OWN.... not that he does not still work on mine daily....

like I said COME DOWN you will get a BIG fix!

This year I'll miss getting a breakfast made by my son. It will be a lonely day.

Hope yours is a good one.

I miss the teething cookies, the smell of baby powder, clipping those teeny tiny finger nails....but just yesterday, I go to hold one little identical twin boy named Jackson. My son's long time friend has now married and become a daddy. The first thing he did when he took Jack out of his car seat was present him to me to hold! Be still my heart!
