Parenting a 19-year-old daughter:
I had a toga party flashback when I read this. And it wasn't so ladylike....Anybody remember "Animal House"? It came out in 1978. The year I went to college. Put that in your brain and imagine an 18 year old MPM at college. Just imagine it.
Yessirree. Life has come full circle. How'm I doing?

HA! I'm using my imaging mind....and I'm soooo glad you told her to wear something under her Toga. I was too old for the Toga generation, thank God.
I shall now burst into song, courtesy of Elton: The CIRRRCLLLLLLLLEEE of LIIIIIIIIIIIFE!
I remember those toga days too....
Please don't sing Annie :(
I will never admit to being old enough to know what you're talking about.
P.S. Togas are NO fun with something underneath. That's what I've heard anyway.
Oh my. Memories are cruel to our children. Make me want to sit on mine till they're 30. :)
I'll try not to imagine, I don't want to tarnish the perfect image I have of you in my head. ;)
I couldn't even imagine someone wearing a toga without something underneath. Course, I can't remember Animal House either...
I am feeling very old right now ... we did other things but toga parties werent one .. and underwear was optional
Suddenly I'm more afraid of my darling daughter going to college in a year and a half than I was already...
Thanks for the ear worm Annie
I'm scared to death now! What was I even thinking!
<><
I went to college way before you (in the 60's) and struggled with whole other issues than togas (sex, drugs and rock and roll). I got involved in politics in the middle of all that! My daughter became an environmentalist during her years. It's always something and we just trust our parenting was enough.
i got things all out of order... I quit school, later went back graduated, had a baby got married went to college, got pregnant again stayed sick 9 months quit school, went back again the following year... darn I so did it all wrong... and yes I always wear my unders :) HA HAHA
So you learned that lessson the hard way? LOL!
Underwear was optional, yes it was!! TG my ma is gone and can't read this!
You gave yourself away when you said to wear something underneath! What were we thinking with our braless toga parties? I don't think that "thinking" had anything to do with it. And just how much does a parent pay for their "child" to be educated in these extracurricular activities?
You're doing great.
Toga! Toga!
I'm having flashbacks of fraternitiy brothers swallowing goldfish. And I don't mean the snack crackers...
OMG, you are too funny!
Sounds like you're doing mahvelous!
But I feel like I've missed out. Never been to a toga party!
