The oldest Olympic competitor:
"Prince Hubertus of Hohenlohe-Langenburg (51), representing Mexico, his country of birth, and bedecked in a lurid, lycra outfit based on Mexican folk themes was the oldest competitor in the giant slalom and 35 years older than his youngest rivals."
He came in dead last.
But for this old lady, he is all that.
You betcha.
Or am I the only one left paying attention?

He wouldn't be Canadian - not allowed.
Loved the ice dancing ..
You gotta love that outfit!
Um, I've been too busy to pay attention, unfortunately. I do watch the news to see the results, though ;0)
Well, Hubby is addicted to curling. He watches it whenever they show it. He is just fascinated by the sport. He even has an opinion on if the USA should change to an "All-Star" selection for the Olympic teams!
What is up with that????
That gun and ammo belt are fantabulous! Did he swagger down the slopes?
I'm afraid you may be. I haven't watched any of the Olympics and I feel frankly unpatriotic admitting it.
Oh yeah! In my book, he's still hot. I'm coming down with a cold so I went to bed early last night.
I was shocked that there was not one woman from the USA in the Ski Cross. And, the GS has never been Bode Miller's forte'.
I'm just pleased that we've made such a great showing this time...
Ay Caramba!
I'm still watching when I can. I love the new sport Ski Cross, I think it's called, where four guys jet down the mountain on a course all at the same time. Like roller derby on crack. :)
Didn't watch...been a little preoccupied! What is with the costume???? Bandito or just plain drug lord?
I'm a bonafide Olympics geek, but somehow I managed to miss this guy. MY LOSS!!!
I wonder if we could get MM to wear that outfit at Blog Fest??
Haven't watched any of the Olympics, I'm just not into sport at all.
My partner is the opposite.
I love the outfit.
With the time delay on the west coast, I am staying up past midnight to see the good stuff.
Thanks NBC.
Fun! I like the girl in the tiara, but then, I'm several days behind on my DVR watching.
Wow, that outfit is really something! I haven't followed the Olympics this time. I don't really know why. ;-)
I answered your comment about the iPhone on my blog, by the way!
you are definitely on the mend then.
I loved the ice skating and dancing. But it all gives me chills when I see those beaming winners.
<><
It's all about curling baby. I'm loving that sport. But I've followed it for the last few Olympics.
Oh yes, I'm watching it all. My favorite, and it's all because he's so dang cute, is Apolo Anton Ohno.
I love Frito Bandito.
ayeyieyieyie....I am a Frito Bandito. Give me Fritos cornchips and I'll be your friend...da da da da daaa, da dutuhduh.
Sorry, Kate made me think of that commercial.
I'll take Prince Hubertus for a thousand, Alex, because although I've not watched any of the Olympics, I'm going to take MPM's word and give him two snaps.
He did it! And that's wondeful!
He IS the bomb. I gotta say Sean White rocks my world...
I haven't missed 1 minute of the Olympics. It has been just terrific. I don't even like to go anyplace for fear I am going to miss something important. I figure I can catch up on everything else later. After all, it's only 2 weeks every 4 years. I can afford to be a little lazy for just 2 weeks.
MIss him but I say More Power to him. I'm affraid to even strap on the skis!
My favorite...Short track skating. Such skill and so much fun to watch.
