Happy Friday...Let's Shift

A few weeks ago, I won a wonderful contest--
A DVD called The Shift.
On my 50th Birthday!
Not any accident.
It shifted me....

I had been living in my empty nest...
Trying to find fulfilling work.
Trying to be a good wife.
Trying to be a good long-distance mother.
Trying to be a good friend.
And then?
Nancy had this contest.
I won!
And I watched this.
I'm still shifting.
Shifting.
Now I want you to watch it:
The Shift.
Every human being should watch this.
Alone.
And if you win, you have to send it along,
After you watch it alone...
with love.

Enter as often as you want, and spread the word!
The Bird or a Random Integer will decide on Monday morning at 10 EST.
I really want everyone to see this.
It is that good.
Happy Friday.

I would love to watch this movie alone...because I live alone so it would be hard to cheat.

Will I need tissues? If I win that is.

This guy is currently touring the US in movie theaters (in person). He will be here the end of this month, so if I don't win - I'll go see him in person. Thanks MPM!

My family will be out of town next weekend, so I could very well watch it ALONE....with wine, of course;)

Sounds like it's something I need to check out. I have been in the foulest mood for days now, mad at the world. I need to shift.

I'm in - perhaps 'The Shift' DVD will explain why my nerples now face south rather than west...(damn you, gravity)

As usual, I couldn't wait so I downloaded online & watched it, LOL! I also just ordered DVD's for family & close friends.

But, let me ask you this: Don't you think we need to be doing this in the beautiful seaside setting of Monterrey? I'm sure I'd understand it a whole lot better in serene surroundings than I did here in my cluttered home...

Anyway, thanks for the heads-up. It basically agreed with what I've said all along... We spend the first half of our lives learning to be screwed up and the other half trying to find a way to undo all of that screwed-upness. I hope that makes sense.

I'm quite intrigued and curious. It sounds as though it has quite an impact on you

Congratulations on turning 50! When I turned 50 some of my friends were surprised that I told people my age. I recounted that my mother died when she was 44, I was thrilled to be turning 50. It changed their attitude very quickly.

Oh God I would love to win.
Not for me so much...but for my mom.

Since my dad died 5 yrs ago...she doesn't know what to do with herself. And she needs something to help her...SHIFT.

fingers crossed

H'mmm. I'm all Abraham, Rumi, Tolle, Gangaji, Krushnimurti, A Coursish. I am thinking Mr. Dyer (whom I read years and years ago) must be along these lines.

What is it about?

Is that ALL the clue you are going to give is we need to watch it alone? That kind of scares me....
I hope you are doing ok, I do think of you often and seem to keep up with you more on f/b than the blog, but do know that I am always checking on you. I hope that if you ever need an ear or even a shoulder, I have both. And they are good ones too! Thanks for being there for me, and being the friend that I need. Hugs
