The Augman Cometh....

Spring Break has arrived for a certain son.
He had and has big plans.
Those plans had me worried because of our snowacaine...
Some parentexting™ was in order.
I like how he tries to change the subject with a food order.

Yesterday: Villanova to James Madison University to UVa.
In a snowacaine, mind you.
Today: Connecticut.
And the spaghetti will be ready as requested at 7 pm.
Word.

I agree, I don't get the "word" thing, probably because I am sooo old!

Drive safe, Augman! Be smart.

Word. LMAO! I get a lot of that too & our son is home on Spring Break too. He did have to finish a paper he was writing, then email it to the professor. Gah! We never had it that easy!

And, how great that the kids have different Spring Breaks so that you have some individual time...

Word. Is that short hand for "I don't hear youLalalalalalalalalalalalala" Because I just might borrow this when my kiddos gripe yet again that I am the meanest mom because I won't buy them any pair of cute shoes they want.

Wishing your sun safe and sunny travels.

Oh dear. This is what I have to look forward to?

I do have to say that "Spring" break and "snowicaine" in the same sentence is not funny at all.

*sigh*

According to the Urban Dictionary, here's what it means:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=word

I have to look shit up all the time to understand the kids in high school. They have no idea I do this but I am not that smart to know what they're talking about.

Is it the same as "Word to your mother" as Vanilla Ice? :D

I swear to GOD, we are living parallel lives - he is SO much like MY son, who will be home in one more week for Spring Break.

Word.

Tell Augie I am in love with him.
You might not want to relay this to him but 20 years ago.. ok it was really 22 years ago but who is counting "Word" was the only response we had to anything.. and by anything I mean ANYTHING.
Hello- Word
Goodbye- Word
Be home at a responsible time. Word
Don't drink and drive. Word

In November of 1991 that sweet special friend passed away and she took Word with her, it was never the same.

So you tell Augie when he gets there and gets that spaghetti dinner that one of the blog blisters says.. Word.

I love these. He cracks me up and reminds me of my goof ball son. I hear a lot of that "word" from him only it is usually "word to my mutha". Little snot.
