Thoroughly Thoreau

As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.

An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads.

-Henry David Thoreau

Aren't you glad I spared you the quote about eating beans from Walden? Now go forth and have a wonderful weekend, my friends.

When I first read him, I knew I was too young to really understand Thoreau. I'm not sure I'm old enough now :) But I surely love people who know him!
