Tuesday Text: Parentexting™

A tale of two teenagers:
So, he's coming home late tonight. I still have no idea when. Where did I go wrong? Clearly I messed up in the communication department here. Clearly.

Then we have this one:
Seriously. She manages to keep her mother up to speed on everything and get her work done. How could they have shared the womb all that time and not be similar? And I wonder if she will make that pasta for me when she gets here? Thank heaven for daughters. And sons, too.

Based on those text exchanges, I'm a boy. Wish I'd known that a little sooner.

Enjoy your babies this week :)

Rejoice in their differences, but I'm not sure they are gender related, but just expressing their uniqueness.

I am experiencing the same thing with my older two and am sure the twins will be the same way. They are so different already at 2! It keeps life interesting ;0)

P.S. Have I told you I miss you lately?

Clearly she got all the communication genes;)

@Caution - I had the same thought yesterday as a pair of F/A18s flew over. Jets excite me. I am such a guy.

I hope she cooks for you. My older away-from-home son is a wonderful cook. It's quite fun sharing kitchen space with him. I wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Know what's worse? FORGETTING your son is coming home. Like I did on Sunday when I called and asked when he'd be here Thursday. And he reminded me he was coming Tuesday night. Lord, help me!

And I want that pasta dish, too.

It balances out. You have one of each. I think it's that Mars Venus thingy that even applies to kids :)

I see mine texting away with friends and all I get is Huh? Yes. Love you.

I asked him Sunday "You okay?" and he said that's the 4th time. Quit hovering and you're getting on my nerves." Okay...excuse me, I've been in this habit 24 years..let me work on that one.

Maybe it's a Mars/Venus thing. Or a Myers-Briggs thing.

No matter what it is, like Caution Flag I just discovered I am a boy.

Enjoy your time together.

Was an interesting story on NPR this week (Monday?) It was about siblings / different personalities / why? I've got twin girls who are so different it hurts.
