This 'n That Thursday

Blather:

  • I have lost 7 pounds since I moved back to Tennessee.  This is a very good thing.
  • Living without wheat is not as hard as you think, and I feel amazing.
  • I have a lot more to go, but 7 pounds is a good start.
  • Dora is slimming down, too.  We do a lot of walking and stair climbing.  A lot.
  • I wish everyone would leave that Kristen Stewart alone.  You'd think she was the first actress to do that.
  • I have a meeting with a new doctor today.
  • My cancer diagnosis may have been was a blessing in disguise.
  • I'm going to my nephew's football game tomorrow night.  So excited.  My brothers went to the same school.
  • I hear the east coast may be in for a rough winter.  heh
  • Have you ever had kimchi?  It's my new favorite food item.
  • Also?  My coffee press is the bomb.
  • Are you sufficiently bored?
  • What are you up to these days?

What am I up to? Trying to entertain a 7 year old with a cast on his arm while "working from home." The last 2 weeks of August are always tough around here, between when camps end and school starts. Oh, but we have 2 kittens to entertain us! Little fluffballs of luuuuv, they are.

Seven pounds? Rock on!

I kinda feel for Kristen Stewart too. Good lord. She's a kid....hardly think she's the "worst" person in Hollywood .
I googled kimchi. .................. ;-)

So Kimchi isn't the thing my friend Kim uses to straighten her hair?

Fresh garden beets, I am pickling them today.
Wow, 7 lbs.
I love clothes hung on the line...crispy towels.
Your Thursday ramblings, I love this. I have never told you.
My Kindle, I am crazy about it.
A bear pooped in our yard last night.
A mom and twin baby moose are nearby.
I love TN. Happy you are there.
I am almost two months now without meat. I feel FAB!

Know all about the wheat free diet since my daughter has Celiac Disease since age 2. For me it was dropping meat (18 years ago) that made the big difference- and eating more veggies, fruits, complex carbos and olive oil. Added running to me work outs and I feel great and stay slim. Good luck and good health with your approach and with you doctor meeting! These days I'm writing, studying Italian and traveling. Life is good.

Came home exhausted. I love your Thursday ramblings. They're my favorite part of your week. Congrats on the 7 pounds! I couldn't stay on the no-wheat/gluten thing, but I think I already told you that. I'm tired. I need to go back to Maine. To live. My books came today on Frederick Law Olmsted. I told you I was addicted, didn't I?

I hope you like the new doctor!

Things are slow areound these parts, I didn't wake up until ll:45 A.M. Have no clue why!

Have to google the Kristen and Kimchi! I live in a bubble, obviously.

7 lbs is good, if you really needed to lose. I do, need to lose, but am addicted to pineapple sherbet! :(

My computer has been down all day, so I'm trying to catch up.

Otherwise, all is good!

xoxo

7 lbs! Awesome. I would looove to lose 7 lbs (& I need to) but I have n-o self control.

Yesterday was first day of school. I get my 3 grandkids off the school bus plus had cable guy here, people looking at furniture I am selling, etc....ended up being a very stressful day for a vacation day!!

Yay on the 7 pounds and the no-wheat and the football game and the family connections - it's what life is all about. (The family thing, that is.)

I am very excited to hear you like the coffee press, you've just convinced me it's the way to go.

I think I tried kimchi once. That is all.

7 pounds - it's like having a baby with out having to raise another! Congrats.

I read though the Wheat Belly thing - don't know if it's for me, though I may try it.
