- Your metabolism does slow down after 50.
- One third of what you consume keeps you alive. The other two-thirds keeps your doctors alive.
- It is impossible to have too many reading glasses.
- You can still train for, and run, a race. How far is up to you...
- The act of receiving is a fine grace. The act of taking is just that.
- Gravity is a strong force.
- My children really are adults now.
- Talk is cheap. Actions are pure gold.
- Unless you are willing to give of your time, talent and/or treasure to others less fortunate, just move on along.
- 51 is young. So is 52.
- The people in my life are my true blessings.
- The dream of living in a fly-over state has become a mission.
- Life is good.
You?

51 or 2 is REALLY young! :)
Run the good race; thinking of you and Augie!
my metabolism forgot to wait to 50 to slow down ... it all but stopped in my late 20s.
I am keeping the drs in fancy homes and cars and not really pleased about it... hubby said if the drs were mechanics I would never run again. not sure how i feel about that at this moment LOL
HUMMM I have worn rx glasses since i was 17... contacts off and on since then too...
Train, Run, Race...what language are these words from?
Yes to grace, Gravity... i suspect is what caused me to fall down the steps several times... or was that my grace? sigh
My chilleren are chronologically adults yes, they even have chilleren of their own but, guess who has to help both out today... they will always need momma to a point :)

I've decided that age is relative. My 76yo father is WAY younger than most people I know:)
I think age is relative ... you are as old as you feel .. some days that's 14 some days its 50-14 ... friends are the most precious commodity there is .. like Peach, I have no idea what a fly over state is ..
Fly-over state are all those states in the middle of the country that you fly over when traveling from coast to coast.
Peach, considering Atlanta's airport, you qualify as a fly-over, into, around, etc. LOL
Gravity when it comes to skin...sucks
You, Mama are also one of my blessings :)
Daughter adults seem to need Moms more than son adults. Glad you have both!!
Run Mama Run!!
Bwah, ha, ha, ha. You hit the nail right on the head.
And, 52 is the new 32. Just saying.
Speaking of eating, I've been meaning to tell you to start eating mushrooms, you don't even have to eat lots, just one a day has an enormous amount of protective properties. But mushrooms. I learned this while lying horizontal with the clicker tuned to PBS during the New Years Day fund raising marathon. It can reverse lots of bad things, but the show talked about some other super foods that are good for you.
I think 2012 is going to be your best year EVER.
Amen on all of those, especially the reading glasses! I think I have 6 pairs. They all usually end up in one room, and it's not the one that I am in when I need them.
Oh yes .. that gravity thing. Aside from that, life IS good!
Gravity.. ugh. Good thoughts though. :)
LL Cool Joe.....I can't wait for your next trip to Arizona too.....I will get to see my friend Mama.......51 IS young and so is 56.....and you my friend ARE A BLESSING TO MANY MANY PEOPLE!!!!
