Oysterfest--Part: The End

In case you didn't know,
I went to Virginia last weekend.
Friday night was the big Firemen's Parade.
I was all excited for months about this.
I even wore my red boots.
Sadly, there are no picture of my feet.
I didn't even take my camera that night.
These beautiful shots are from my phone.
Right here we have a fire truck:
Followed by 84 more of them.
All with sirens going.
And horns honking.
What did you say?
Saturday night we were at the Waterman and Wife's house.
They had us idiots over for a fish fry.
I'm still waiting for her deviled egg recipe.
She puts Old Bay in them. Heaven.
I think I ate a dozen eggs. Before dinner.
For dinner, I had 50-60 hush puppies and about a quart of succotash.
I think there were oysters and fish there, too.
Oh, and this is Binky.
Dressed as a squirrel.
He tolerated the evening fairly well.
Fairly being the operative word.
Sunday morning at CBW's:
That pretty much sums it all up.
Good times, indeed.
And this weekend?
Recovery.

Binky is adorable in that costume. So glad you had such a time, although I was hoping for FIREMEN and not just their trucks. FIREMEN in their gear is what I wanted to see. (As I'm sure everyone would).

BIIINNNKKKAAAAYYYY! The cutest dog in the world, even dressed as a squirrel. (I knew I didn't dream that part.)

Speaking of dreams, those WERE the best deviled eggs recipe and Ann Marie needs to post that recipe.

The Oyster Festival oysters were like cardboard compared to the ones she fried up. And the hush puppies, have mercy.

Great recap, can't wait to do it again.

My dog would not be happy with that get up....looks like you had a good time on Saturday night!

Yep, I bet if you ate that much, it would take a week-end to recover. LOL Sounds like you had fun. I do feel sorry for the dog, hope it didn't have to wear the costume too long.

I think you should do more rove reporting if but for squirrely dog photos alone.

Binky is so cute! And, I can't believe you aren't in bed after all that fun... I'd probably be in a nursing home.

Sounds like a good time, sans the oysters!

Get some rest this weekend. I suggest wearing pajamas all day and doing a movie marathon.

I still haven't heard the VM messages that were left for our favorite New Yawker!! When do you think those are coming out on CD?

Oh Binky .. what did they do to you!!!!!

I am now investigating if one can forward a voice mail message .. heh ..

The firemen we saw on The High Line were hot, I guess you will have to look at those pix ..

I love it!

Recover well, sister. I recommend simple carbs and lots of TV time.

Have I mentioned I am jealous?

I thought parades with firetrucks and sirens right behind the high school band was a Kentucky thing...

Glad you're into recovery.

When is the next trip?

Sounds pretty darn perfect to me. And that dog is hilarious.

No reason why deviled eggs shouldn't be considered dinner. larry would be right happy if I laid them down in front of him one night as the main course. Yum!
