Virginia on my Mind

I think you all know by now that my Baby Bird is going to go to school in Virginia this year.  Sigh.  I'm still working on my commutation plan, and I may have something brewing.  In the meantime, I apparently went to a Shrimp Bawl Boil at Big Hair Envy's Virginia spread last weekend.  I'm such a party girl.  Here I am flanked by Noe Noe and Big Hair herself.  See how they love me?

In reality, I had my own Connecticut version of a shrimp something.  Just not sure what.  But how cute is that bag?  Another Shrimp Bawler, Marlene, made it for me after I donated to a worthy cause.  Anyway, I had a point to all this, but I cannot remember what it was.

Seriously.  I wish I knew what I wanted to say.
  I'm sure it was profound.

If you figure out a stealth plan for VA could you help me with one for Canton NY? I just need 6.5 hours to get there.

Sigh! I do that all the time. I even forget words when I know what I want to say.

My kids all live 6 hours away from me, and I don't get to see them as often and I'd like, but probably see them more than they'd like. Too Bad!

Great bag!

You'll remember it, when you are driving down the road or somewhere else where you can't get to a pen/paper to write it down! (that's what happens to me)

When the MPM tee shirts come out, I want one!

Love the bag. Love shrimp. Hate senior moments.

I'm a great rest stop on the way to VA!

Your fan club is obsessive. I mean impressive! Shrimp balls are delicious. I mean fun.

If you go to the pioneer woman's site, she has a recipe for spiced shrimp that is fantastic and super quick and easy. As a die-hard southerner, I never ate shrimp any way other than boiled (balled as they say around these parts) and spiced with Old Bay. Now that I've done it her way, I can't go back. Super easy and very tasty.

I think I just wrote your post for you. Apologies. Too much caffeine, not enough common sense.

Hey..yeah. Ellen had a small and clever idea. I want a T-shirt! Just do it...if you don't forget your blog name.

You will be fine. You may join me in Farm Town at any time in the future ROFL :)

The shrimp bawl looks like it was a blast. However you should try to loosen up at parties more, you look a little stiff and uh...flat.

You look a little shining in the picture--should have reapplied before they whipped out the camera :)

What do you mean? I totally understood the whole post. Totally.

So what do you have brewing with the plan? And let me know if you ever need a driving partner. I LOVE it at UVa.

Ahh, I love those profound points that you not quite make. One of these days, you'll not quite be proficient at them. ;o)
