That is hilarious!!!!! I'm sorry...that's makes me feel better about mine....some work some don't and I'm getting ticked off! I bugged my hubby about putting up the lights and he came back in and said they were up and I went out and he had thrown the boxes of lights up on the roof and said they're up and not to bug him anymore about it....scrooge!!!!!

Mine would look like that too, if I ever got it out of the box I stuffed it in a couple years ago! I don't think I can get my husband to do any of that stuff and he is retired now...I just don't get it.

My sentiments EXACTLY!!! My husband actually asked me last night IF/When I was going to do the tree...and shame on me I have a 10 yr old..

Looks like you've illuminated the family bee hive!
Love it.

HAAAAA!!!! I can laugh at this now, if I had seen it yesterday or any other day this week, I'd have started crying.

For best results, throw that wicked web of stress away and buy new ones.

...I say, get a big flowerpot with dirt in it, grab ya a stick oh, say, 3-4 feet tall, jab the stick in the dirt in the pot, cram that ball of lights on top of the stick, put a red bow around the stick right under the ball of lights, plug in the lights and voila! - a Christmas topiary! lol... ;o)

...You know what they say, "when life gives you lemons - mix with vodka and sugar"!(I haven't a clue what "they" say but that is what "I" say)...lol...

...Good luck!

...Blessings... :o)

At least you've got a tangled ball hanging.

We're woefully behind on the outdoor lights, this year. Not good.

Oh, that is what I would get if I asked my husband to put lights outside...yep!

I'm way behind.

BWAHAHAHAHA! When you flip that "on" switch tonight, that is going to be BEAUTIFUL!

I love how you can make me do the snort-laugh, repeatedly, sometimes over and over all day, with just a pic and/or a couple of words. I bow to you, my interwebs friend. Thank you. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Well at least those are out of the box!!

I have asked for 2 weeks to have the outside extension cord. Did I get it yet???? Noooooooo.

No tree yet either!

Hee hee hee... my house is a complete & total wreck, with crap thrown everywhere.

It looks like a trainwreck around here & I'm still not finished...

Ah .. see the advantage of a menorah .. so fuss no muss and if you play your cards right the husband will clean the dead wax out each nite .. AND its carbon footprint is way less

We don't have a tree yet and today I got all the boxes out of the garage. My plan is to begin tomorrow. I have plenty of wine.

LOL now that is some serious decking!

Ummm, I'd have to say I'm a little bit further along than that!

Happy Untangling.

3/4 of the way through. I only have to hang the farmer to be finished. Dang lazy dude.

This is EXACTLY what I needed to see today! Thank you for the huge smile, lady. I, too, also feel better. I can't decide on friggin trees and the cashier at Walmart probably thinks I'm losing it here. I'll just say I'm experimenting Ha Ha Ha!!

Now I don't feel so bad myself. Love it.

We tried to put lights on the little tree outside our front door last night and I couldn't get the outlet to work outside. I think these look perfect.

Hilarious. That's usually how my lights look, a big tied up bundle. I can so relate! This is exactly my kind of Christmas decorating.

Anonymous said...

LOL! Excellent. That's about how I feel about decorating this year!

MitMoi said...

That's how my fireplace mantle looks!

Chere said...

You go girl. This year that is my way of decorating. Think about taking it down "Easy". I'm sure it looks like a lighted Christmas ball at night.

Joanie said...

Wow! What a great job of decorating...you could truly start a new trend!

Wads of lights like that make me toss those lights and hit the store for the $3.99 new box of lights. Some things are just not worth dealing with. Matted light strands are one of those things.

Since we had our party last night, we are decked. It's the one advantage of having a party - you have to be ready early. It's a pain, but so worth it when you get to the week before Christmas and you aren't stressed.

imbeingheldhostage said...

I always wanted to do that! I'm beginning to think that maybe I'll skip the decorating this year and start in January for next Christmas.

Hilarious!! It's in the perfect spot.
